A lesson from puzzle pieces

Show me a cut that I can plaster

Let us watch it heal

And learn a universal truth about fragility

Let me follow the cracks in a china glass

to understand about frailty

Let us hurt and break apart

And into a million pieces

To start a lesson about mortality

To look close and take none for granted

Each atomic piece of life

The physical fractures and mental wounds

Of mind will teach us how to be

More kind

To the health we do have

And that, it can slip away

So let us put together the pieces of our puzzle

One fragment at a time

And learn the lessons that they teach

To read between its signs
