on truth.

you think that rest is lacking

that stillness will corrupt your presence

and time will cake over you

encapsulating crust

that chokes the thought from your eyes

to keep them locked up over heart and

under soul like a political prisoner under house

arrest like an invisible disguise

you think that if you spoke louder

that better heard means better words but

better verbs reverberate and sink like

anchors into unkempt minds to ground

them into peace and pieces sprinkled water wisdom onto

feet so that they dance the distance and count

the seconds to disaster is this the truth

that we all struggle to master?
