Reclaiming my memory

I am capable of monsters and magic

Of being happy and tragic

You can pity or envy that

As you see fit

You can choose to compare and complain

Placing us parallel thus creating a plane

That slices at our differences

Creating mutants

When people are different and

Difference is life

And we could have embraced that

Been inspired

enlightened

and nice!

You can choose to use me

to make you a stronger entity

But please, don’t use up all my energy

what I’d rather- if you asked

Is that you hit me with neutrality

The ph7 of good intention

Without spun spiderwebs entrapping me

Let me be- me

 Free

And let me breath!

I’ve held it for so long

Hitting the same tar of negativity

A cycle singing that same song

Your song

I’ve had enough already

So I broke it

No more, telling me who I am

And what you think of me

I had true friends-once

I knew pure untainted friendship

love

It was taken away from me

Did I grieve? No. I just let it go

And everyone I’d ever known

And I forgot

Just how good good could be

No more, I’ve had enough now

I choose to reclaim my memory.
